Deer in Repose

Deer and Deer at Rest is a painting made by the French painter Rosa Bonheur in 1867. This oil on canvas depicts a deer and deer in an undergrowth. Previously part of Dexter M. Ferry's collection, the painting was donated in 1920 by Queene Ferry Coonley to the Detroit Institute of Arts in Detroit, where it is now preserved.
