Saint Karel Veliký

Sts. Charlemagne is assigned to the set that for the chapel of St. The crosses at Karlstein were performed by Master Theodoric himself. The portrait was placed in a prominent location in the middle of a row of monarchs on the west wall of the nave. The quality of art workmanship places him among the best works of European painting of the 14th century. The painting is exhibited in the collection of medieval art of the National Gallery in Prague.
