Conferral of the Rule of Carmel

The Bestowal of the Rule of Carmel or Episode of Hermit Life (Thebaid), is a work by Filippo Lippi. It is a detached and incomplete fresco (386x480 cm, plus an appendix of 95x137 cm), executed before January 1431 and preserved in the Convento del Carmine in Florence, in a room adjacent to the cloister.
