The Decapitation of Saint John the Baptist

The Martyrdom of St. John Batista by Masaccio is a tempera painting on panel in 1426. Its measures are 30.5 x 21cm and it is one of the ten panels that made up the Pisa Polyptych and that have been distributed by various museums. This piece is specifically preserved in the State Museum in Berlin.
