Madame de Pompadour

Madame de Pompadour is the name of a personal portrait of Madame de Pompadour. The oil painting, commissioned by Louis XV, was made by the French painter François Boucher (1703-1770) in 1756. The painting is kept in the Alte Pinakothek in Munich. This is a permanent loan from the HVB Group to the museum since 1971.
