Saint John the Baptist

Saint John the Baptist or Saint John in the Desert is a painting painted around 1598 and kept at the Museo Tesoro Catedralicio in Toledo. It was attributed to Caravaggio, who produced about seven versions of the same theme; however, some are contested as to their attribution. In this case, research in art history is increasingly oriented towards an attribution to Cavarozzi concerning the Saint John the Baptist of Toledo.
