Wife's portrait

Portrait of his wife, also In the Laurel Hall – an oil painting by the Polish painter Józef Mehoffer from 1909, located in the Gallery of Polish Art 1800-1945 of the Silesian Museum in Katowice.

The portrait was created in 1909. The artist depicted his wife Jadwiga Mehofferowa sitting on a chair in front of two trees in flower pots in a room with a parquet floor. The color of the dress harmonizes with the background colors. The model has a hat with feathers on her head. He looks to the left. The canvas measuring 182 × 164 cm is signed: JÓZEF MEHOFFER. The Silesian Museum purchased the work from a private person in Lviv in 1929. The painting is presented in the Gallery of Polish Art 1800-1945.
