The young artist is a painting by the Dutch painter Woutherus Mol, painted around 1822, oil on canvas, 52.3 x 42.6 centimeters in size. It shows the typical romantic theme of the isolated, lonely artist in his workspace. The work has been in the collection of the Teylers Museum in Haarlem since 1846.
