Reredos of the Martyrdom of St Erasmus

The martyrdom of Saint Erasmus is a mid-15th century altarpiece painted by Dirk Bouts. It is, in addition to the Last Supper, a second main work of him that is located in St. Peter's Church in Leuven. It is known that the Brotherhood of the Holy Sacrament certainly had the work in his possession in 1535, but it is not certain whether they have given the order. The triptych was probably manufactured before 1464, which makes it older than Bouts' Last Supper.
