Allegory of Autumn

The painting "Allegory of Autumn" is a painting from 1530 - 1593 by Giuseppe Arcimboldo. It is part of the Alte Pinakothek's collection and measures 0.838 meter in height and 0.565 meter in width. The painting appears to have extensive damage, with much of the paint flaked off to reveal the ground layer underneath. The remaining portion suggests a composition that may have depicted an allegorical figure of Autumn, possibly composed of fruits, vegetables, and other organic elements. This style was characteristic of Arcimboldo's work.
