Tamara and the Demon

Tamara and the Demon (Russian: Тамара и Демон), or Don't cry, child, don't cry in vain... (Russian: Не плачь, дитя! Не плачь напрасно!), is an illustration by the Russian painter Mikhail Vrubel for Mikhail Lermontov's poem The Demon. It was created in 1890-1891 and is now in the Tretyakov Gallery.
