In the Troops' Quarters before Paris

"Soldiers were brought into hospitals near Paris" (commonly called "Im Etappenquartier vor Paris") is a picture painted by Antonio de Werner in 1894. It seems that German soldiers who were besieging Paris in the Franco-Prussian war from September 1870 to January 1871 were divided into private homes and villas near this city. The painting is displayed today at the Old Berlin National Gallery.
