The Carrying of the Cross

The Bearing of the Cross (in Italian, Andata al Calvario) is a religious painting in tempera on wood of 25 × 16 cm by the painter of the Sienese school Simone Martini, dating from 1333 and preserved in the Louvre Museum in Paris.

It was part of a portable polyptych called Polyptych Orsini, now scattered between Paris, Berlin and Antwerp.
