Largo dos Remédios, 1862

Largo dos Remédios, 1862 is a painting by Benedito Calixto present in the Past Room of the City of São Paulo, one of the exhibition halls of the collection of the Museu Paulista of the University of São Paulo. For the creation of this work, Calixto was based on a record of the Rio de Janeiro photographer Militão Augusto de Azevedo (1837-1905), from which he painted the old Largo and Church of Our Lady of Remedies.
