The Annunciation

The message to Mary is a painting attributed to the Master of Flémalle, the emergency name for an unidentified painter, probably Robert Campin. The painting was painted between 1415 and 1425. It measures 61 x 63.7 inches tall and painted with oil paint on an oak panel. It shows the story of the annunciation from the Bible, in which the Archangel Gabriel visits Mary in her home in Nazareth and reports that God has chosen her to become the mother of his Son.
