Paysage

Paisatge is a painting on canvas made by Modest Urgell i Inglada in 1919 and preserved in the Library Museum Víctor Balaguer, with the registration number 1654 since he joined, in 1956, being part of the so-called "Legacy 1956", a set of works from the Lluís Plandiura-Victòria González collection.

It is a landscape with a typicalLy Catalan farmhouse, with cutlery and wooden fence. Trees, scrub and grass can be found around the house. In the lower right corner you can see a woman and a child walking. In the background, a partly cloudy sky.

In the box is the inscription "Urgell", in the lower left corner, and behind it, "Modest Urgell / 1839-1919 /17" and "Wife of the recorder Buxó y madre de Luis, painter, and Matilde, married this con Don Antonio Caba / 1838-1907".
