Landscape of Saaremaa

Landscape of Saaremaa is a 1929 painting by Nikolai Triik, part of the Tartu Art Museum's watercolor collection.  Measuring 0.573 meters wide and 0.464 meters high, the artwork depicts a tranquil landscape. The scene features a body of water, possibly a lake or sea, stretching across the middle ground, with a distant shoreline faintly visible. In the foreground, a gently sloping hill is rendered in muted orange and yellow tones, dotted with small, dark-colored rocks or boulders. Several dark-greenish coniferous trees stand out against the lighter background, with one tall, slender tree prominently positioned near the center. The sky is a pale, washed-out beige and light blue, suggesting a calm, possibly overcast day.
