The Naming of Saint John the Baptist

The Imposition of the Name on the Baptist is a painting made by Beato Angelico, tempera on wood (26×24 cm), preserved in the National Museum of San Marco in Florence and datable between about 1428 and 1430.

The work was part of the predella of Saints James and Lucia, five panels divided into as many locations, of which the original reference altarpiece is unknown.
