Winter Landscape with a Bird-trap, a painting by Pieter Breughel the Younger, dated 1631. 



The artwork, housed in the Brukenthal National Museum, measures 0.565 meters in width and 0.39 meters in height. 



The painting depicts a winter scene. A frozen river or canal is the central focus, with numerous figures ice skating and playing games on the ice. The background shows a village nestled amongst snow-covered houses and trees. The trees are bare, characteristic of winter. The sky is overcast, with a pale, muted light. In the foreground, there is a bird trap visible in the snow near the right edge of the painting. The overall palette is muted, with browns, whites, and grays dominating the color scheme.
