The Painter on His Way to Work (Dutch: De schilder op de weg naar Tarascon, catalogue number: F 448, JH 1491) is a painting by Vincent van Gogh, painted in July 1888 during the artist's stay in Arles. The painting was in the collection of the Kaiser-Friedrich-Museum in Magdeburg (now the Kulturhistorisches Museum Magdeburg), during World War II it was destroyed by fire.
