Shepherds with a flock of sheep., a painting by Ivan Ayvazovsky, created in 1872. 



The artwork depicts a pastoral scene at sunset. A large flock of sheep is gathered in a field under a large, dark green tree. Two shepherds are visible, one seated and one standing, tending to the sheep. The sky is a blend of blues and purples, with a warm, yellowish glow from the setting sun. The overall mood is serene and peaceful. The painting measures 1.56 meters in width and 0.98 meters in height. It is currently in museum storage.
