Gate of Virtue

The Porta Virtutis is an oil painting on canvas (159x112 cm) by Federico Zuccari, dating from about 1585 (post 1581) and kept in the National Gallery of the Marche in Urbino. It was the cause of a scandal that involved the artist in a trial and that made him move away from Rome.
