Morning Awakening

Le réveil is a painting by the French painter Eva Gonzalès, made in 1876, oil on canvas, 81.5 x 100 centimeters in size. It shows a young woman looking dreamily in front of her in her bedstead, painted in a loose impressionist style, in strikingly light pastel shades. It has been in the collection of the Kunsthalle Bremen since 1960.
