Waterfall

Hi everyone, my name is Isabella! Today, we're going to look at a painting called "Waterfall." nn Look at this big, tall rock! It takes up almost half of the painting, doesn't it? What colors do you see? That's right, browns and grays! nn ➡️ nn Now, look at the other side of the painting. What do you see? Wow, a waterfall! It's like the rock is hiding a secret, magical place. nn ➡️ nn The artist used light colors on the waterfall to make it look like the sun is shining on it. That's clever, right? But the rock is dark because it's in the shadow. Can you point to the shadows? nn ➡️ nn Look closely! Do you see the two tiny people near the waterfall? They look like fishermen, don't they? What do you think they are saying to each other? nn ➡️ nn Even though we don't know when this painting was made, it reminds us that people have always loved nature. Just like us! What do you like best about waterfalls? nn ➡️ nn This beautiful painting is here at the Musée des Beaux-Arts de Carcassonne so that everyone can enjoy it.
