Alexander the Great shows confidence in his doctor Philip - a drawing of Taras Shevchenko made by him in 1836 in St. Petersburg. Size 26 × 35.7. Bottom left watercolor date and author's signature: 1836. Shevchenko.

The drawing was made on one of the topics that were given at the Academy of Arts before the competitions.

The picture shows the sick Alexander the Great, who, despite the received note with a message about the intention of Dr. Philippe to poison him by passing this note to the doctor, drinks his medicine with full confidence.

The drawing is stored in the National Museum of Taras Shevchenko.

Previous places of preservation: collection of O.P. Bogolyubov, Radishchev Museum in Saratov (No 748), Central Museum of Taras Shevchenko (Kyiv).

In 1939 he exhibited at the Republican Shevchenko Jubilee Exhibition in Kyiv (Catalogue, No. 85).
