Portrait of a woman and Portrait of a man, a painting by David Teniers the Younger, dated 1635.

Both portraits are rendered in a dark, somewhat somber palette characteristic of 17th-century Dutch painting. The background in both is muted and indistinct, focusing attention on the sitters.
