Saint Philip

The artwork titled Saint Philip is a painting created in 1605. It is currently held at the Toledo Cathedral. The painting was created by El Greco.

The painting features a man, presumably Saint Philip, in profile, holding a wooden cross. He is wearing a dark brown robe and has a beard. The background is dark, and the only light source seems to be coming from the left side of the painting. The man's hand is illuminated as he grasps the cross. Another hand can be seen to the right of the image, grasping the other side of the cross.
