Cromwell and Charles I or Cromwell looking at the corpse of Charles I is a painting painted by Paul Delaroche in 1831. The painting deals with the theme of the English Revolution and features Oliver Cromwell and Charles I, after the trial and execution of the latter. The painting would be inspired by a text by François-René de Chateaubriand.
It is kept at the Museum of Fine Arts in Nîmes. In 2014, it was loaned to the Musée des Beaux-Arts de Lyon as part of the exhibition The Invention of the Past. Histoires de cœur et d'épée en Europe, 1802-1850.
