Crucifixion of Christ

The Crucifixion of Christ is a painting by the Italian painter Annibale Carracci (1560–1609), which is in the possession of the Staatliche Museen zu Berlin.The painting shows Christ nailed to the cross. Mary can also be seen. She lies at the foot of the cross and is supported by holy women. To the left of the cross is John the Baptist.

Cornelis Bloemaert II made a reproduction of this work in the form of an engraving after 1633, while staying in Rome. Due to the printing technique, this engraving is the mirror image of the painting.
