The Last Supper

The Last Supper

1550 - Painting

The Last Supper, a copy of Leonardo da Vinci's painting of the refectory of the sanctuary of Santa Maria delle Grazie, is a work attributed in 1735 to Cesare da Sesto, but today to an anonymous Leonardo referable to the workshop of Bernardino Luini. It is located in Ponte Capriasca in the church of Sant'Ambrogio.

It is a good copy of leonardo da Vinci's Last Supper, dating back to about 1550, although with changes especially in the setting and in the background, where the scenes of the sacrifice of Isaac and the prayer in the garden of olives appear.
