The Banquet of Kings

Hello everyone! Welcome to the museum! Today, we're going to look at a very interesting painting called "The Banquet of Kings." It was painted by an artist named Boris Grigoriev a long, long time ago in 1913. nn Look at how big it is! It's even taller than I am! The first thing we see are all the bright colors, right? It looks like a party! What do you see on the table? Can you spot the fruit? How about the bread? nn Now, let's look a little closer at the people. Do they look like they're having fun? Their faces are a little bit funny, aren't they? The artist, Boris, wanted to make us think about important things, like how some people aren't always nice, even if they look fancy. nn Even though the painting is called "The Banquet of Kings," it doesn't really feel like a happy party, does it? The people look a little bit squished and uncomfortable. Maybe Boris is trying to tell us that things aren't always what they seem! nn What do you think about the painting?
