We're going to see a painting called "Centurion Cornelius." It's really, really big! nn Can you imagine a painting bigger than you are? That's how big this one is! nn nn Now, this painting has a lot of shadows, like when you turn off the lights and it's a little bit dark. See how some parts of the painting are dark, and some parts have light shining on them? That's a special technique called "chiaroscuro." It's like a game artists play with light and dark! nn What do you think the people in the painting are doing in the shadows? nn nn In the painting, we see a man wearing a really fancy hat called a turban. It's bright red, and his robe has lots of gold on it! He looks very important, don't you think? He's talking to three other men, and it looks like something serious is happening. nn What do you think they're talking about? nn nn This painting is like a puzzle, and we have to use our imaginations to figure out the story!
