The Portrait of Maria Cecilia Guardi, also known as Portrait of Maria Cecilia Guardi Tiepolo, is a painting executed in 1757 by Lorenzo Tiepolo with the technique of oil on canvas. It is part of a private collection.
Maria Cecilia Guardi, who posed for her husband Giambattista Tiepolo in numerous frescoes and canvases lending her face to famous women of history and literature, was never portrayed by him in her daily life; on the contrary, Lorenzo Tiepolo, one of the couple's sons, paid homage to her in this work created in 1757.
Maria Cecilia, who in the canvas holds a fan with her left hand, was therefore left-handed, as can be seen in some of the paintings in which she was an art model for her husband. At the time of the making of this portrait, the effigy was about 55 years old. Lorenzo died still young in 1776, three years before his mother.
