“Kenponchaku Shokugoji Monjuzo" is a masterpiece by Hiroshin MONKANBO, a painter monk in the late Kamakura period and the period of the Northern and Southern Courts. On June 9, 1334 (July 10, 1334), when Monkan was serving Emperor Godaigo as a gojiso, at the age of 57, it is a Buddhist painting depicting Monju Bosatsu in a civil-like form as a memorial service to his deceased mother. . On May 6, 1936, it was designated as an important cultural property.
