The Judgement of Midas. The Musical Contest between Apollo and Marsyas

The Judgment of Midas (or The Musical Contest between Apollo and Marsyas) is an oil painting on panel (43 × 73 cm) by Cima da Conegliano, dated 1507-1509, and kept at the Statens Museum for Kunst in Copenhagen (Denmark). It takes up the subject, very common in antiquity, of the music competition between Apollo and Marsyas.
