
The sadness of faith is a painting by Shoji Sekine in 1918. Collection of the Ohara Museum of Art.
When exhibited at the 5th Nika Exhibition with "Sisters and Sisters" and "Self-Portraits", he was selected as the NewComer Award. It was designated as an Important Cultural Property of Japan in 2003.
Sekine himself initially thought about the subject of "Fun Land", but it was said that it became the current title by pointing out that he felt deep sadness from Ito Fuksui.
