1450 - Painting - 40.5cm x 54cmThe Portrait of a Man is a tempera painting on wood (54.2x40.4 cm) by Andrea del Castagno, dating from about 1450-1457 and preserved today in the National Gallery of Art in Washington. He is also known for being the subject of the third series of the 10,000 Italian lire banknote, printed from 1976 to 1984.
