The Enchanted Garden

The Enchanted Garden is a painting by the English painter John William Waterhouse, painted in 1917, oil on canvas, 115.5 x 160 centimeters in size. It highlights a story from the Decamerone, about the faithful Dianora who is deceived by her lover Ansaldo. The painting is part of the collection of the Lady Lever Art Gallery, part of the National Museums Liverpool.

In 1916, Waterhouse made another work after Boccaccio's book, entitled A Tale from the Decameron, which is now in the same museum.
