Pochaiv Cathedral (interior view)

The Cathedral of the Pochayiv Lavra (interior) is an 1846 painting by Taras Shevchenko. Depicts the internal appearance of the Assumption Cathedral of the Pochayiv Lavra. Watercolor in particular allows you to make a certain idea of the original Rococo main altar of the cathedral, made by Matthew Polejowski and Vasily Bernakevich, is now lost.

The picture is made on paper with parameters 37.6 × 28.4. At the bottom right ink author's signature: Shevchenko. On the back of the sketch to this picture.
