Self-portrait

Self-portrait is the title of a painting by German-Russian artist Alexej Jawlensky, which he painted in 1912. In 1973, it was purchased by the then museum director Ulrich Schmidt for the Museum Wiesbaden under considerable resistance. It carries the inventory number M 898 and is on permanent loan from the state capital Wiesbaden.
