Natalia Nikolaïevna Gontcharova

"Portrait of N. N. Lanskaya" is one of several images of the widow of A. S. Pushkin, painted by the artist I. Makarov. It was created in 1849, during her second marriage to P. P. Lansky.

The circumstances of its creation are known by correspondence between Lanskaya and her husband. In the past, he was attributed to T. Neff and K. Lasch. In 1919, he disappeared from her daughter's apartment, and was subsequently purchased by the Pushkin House from a private person. At the moment it is stored in St. Petersburg in the museum-apartment of Pushkin.
