The Coronation of the Virgin with Saints Michael the Archangel, Joseph, Francis of Assisi and Nicholas of Bari is an oil painting on panel originally ribbed (289x198 cm) by Moretto, datable to about 1534 and preserved in the collegiate church of Saints Nazaro and Celso in Brescia.
Executed in the years of his artistic maturity, the work represents the arrival point of Moretto's stylistic evolution in terms of altarpieces, becoming the greatest work of this period and one of the greatest masterpieces of his entire artistic career. The painting was the main panel of a polyptych, now dismembered and preserved part in the church and part in the canonical house.
