Evening Play in Svanninge Hills

"Evening Games on Svanning Hill" (In Danish: Aftenleg i Svanninge Bakker) is a painting by the Danish artist Fritz Seiberg from 1900.The painting is painted with oil paints on canvas and is 230 x 174 cm in size. The setting sun, fine indigo violet evening clouds and intense blue and pink skies are presented. In the landscape there is a "silence" and a half-darkness, which is emphasized by the movement of the clouds of light in the evening sky. Romantic twilight and undulating sky symbolize youth, eroticism and young love. Young people are represented outside their daily activities and participate in an annual outdoor custom. They dance and play, the only music is from their singing.The painting is part of the collection of the museum in Foborg, Denmark.
