The print depicts Galatea, a sea nymph, riding on a shell drawn by sea creatures. She is surrounded by other sea deities and several putti (cherubs) who are flying above, wielding bows and arrows. The scene is set in a turbulent sea. The print is part of the collection of the National Gallery of Art.
