Fantastic Architecture with Paintings is a painting by the Frisian painter Hans Vredeman de Vries in 1568. It is housed in the Bilbao Fine Arts Museum. The work was a new genre of the time, expressing architectural lust; he made a fantastic representation of buildings and cities. In fact, he used rules of perspective to create a world that was both rational and idealized. Vredeman de Vries was a true master of this genre.
