Christ in the House of Martha and Mary

Jesus by Martha and Mary is a painting by Antwerp painter Joachim Beuckelaer, painted in 1565, oil on oak wood, 113 x 163 centimeters in size. The painting shows Martha of Bethany and two servants, while in the background Jesus teaches a group of people. The image is based on Jesus Christ's biblical visit to Martha and Mary of Bethany. It is now located in the Royal Museums of Fine Arts of Belgium in Brussels, which it purchased in 1910.
