The Sacrifice of Iphigenia is a fresco created in 1757 by Giambattista Tiepolo for the Villa Valmarana "Ai Nani", in Vicenza. It occupies the central wall of the Hall of Iphigenia, the room constituting the atrium of the residence.
At the center of the scene, Iphigenia is about to be immolated by Calcante; on the right, Agamemnon covers his eyes with his cloak so as not to look at the sacrifice of his daughter; on the left, instead, appears the deer that will replace the girl as a sacrificial victim.
