Two Cut Sunflowers

Hi everyone, my name is Isabella! Today, we're going to look at a painting of sunflowers. Have you ever seen a real sunflower? They're so big and bright, like little suns you can hold in your hand! 🌻 nn --- nn This painting is called "Two Cut Sunflowers." That means the sunflowers aren't in the ground anymore. They've been cut, but they still look so beautiful, don't they? The artist, Vincent van Gogh, made this painting over 100 years ago! nn --- nn Look closely at the sunflower facing us. Can you see all the tiny seeds inside? It's amazing how the artist used his paintbrush to make them look so real! The other sunflower is lying on its side. Some of its petals are wilting, but it's still beautiful in its own way. nn --- nn Do you see how thick the paint is? It's almost like you could touch it! The artist used a special technique called impasto to make the sunflowers look like they're popping right out of the painting. And look at all the bright colors in the background!
