The Virgin of Ripoll is a sketch by Enric Serra Auqué made in 1887 for the composition of a mosaic with the Virgin and Child that Pope Leo XIII commissioned him for the monastery of Ripoll.
The work has been preserved in the Library Museum Víctor Balaguer with the registration number 10 since it was donated by the same author in 1888.In this sketch the Virgin Mary is represented enthroned with the Child Jesus on the legs, frontally and occupying all the composition. On the upper margin there are two concentric semicircles above which there is a dark background. In the upper semicircle there is an inscription referring to the donation that Pope Leo XIII made of this piece. The Virgin and Child wear a wide robe and wear a large circular nymph. On the ground, in front of the feet of the thrights, there are flowers.
