The Virgin and Child with the young Saint John the Baptist is an oil and tempera painting on poplar wood of 90.7 × 67 cm, made by Sandro Botticelli in the years 1470-1475. Preserved since its entry in 1824 at the Louvre Museum, the painting is exhibited in the square living room and bears the inventory number 286.
